Born in London, Christine Eatwell studied textile design at Camberwell School of Art and Manchester College of Science and Technology.

Since leaving the art department at Brunel University where she was a member of staff she has become a successful printmaker.

An interest in movement makes for a whimsical and often animated approach to her work. Early studies of the Ballet Rambert influenced a fluid approach to her chosen medium of etching. The exaggerated cavorting of crows and more personal reflections of her own pet lurcher illustrate the motion theme and reveals her private passion for the animal world.

Most prints are from copper and zinc plates exploring varied etching techniques such as drypoint aquatint and spit-bite while her relaxed style allows for more spontaneous expression through monoprints and mixed media collographs.
