Linda’s subjects include still life, life painting, portraiture and townscapes. She is however best known for her large scale oil paintings of flowers. Through her training as an architect she has acquired a highly developed understanding of space, colour, texture and above all, light. Her flower paintings capture the effects that sunlight has on all of these, giving the blooms a dazzling luminosity.
In recent years she has exhibited at a number of London Galleries, often selling out. Last year she took the Chelsea Flower Show by storm and had two of her paintings selected for the Annual Exhibition of the Royal Society of Oil Painters. One of these paintings won the society’s prestigious Stanley Grimm Prize 2007.
