Lyn was born in Dublin and spent her childhood in England and in France. Her interest in art was fostered at an early age not only by private tuition but also the encouragement of the French painter, Dunoyer de Segonzac. Lyn studied art at Kingston Polytechnic and gained her BA (Hons) degree at Wimbledon School of Art. Having lived in Teddington for 35 years, Lyn moved to Brighton in 2006.
Lyn finds inspiration in her immediate environment as well as places she visits in England and abroad. With vibrant colour and a strong rhythm of line, Lyn's art brings a unique warmth, intensity and wit to places and objects we all know.
Lyn has exhibited widely in the UK including the Royal Academy. She is also a member of the Shoreham Art Gallery and Kemptown Arts Association. Her work is in private and corporate collections worldwide.
