Painter
I am a landscape artist working primarily in oils. I have drawn and painted from a young age, but studied painting formally at The Art Academy, London, between 2010 and 2012. Since leaving art-school, I have painted mainly rural and urban landscapes in and around London. I find the energy and diversity of the city a compelling melting pot, and the peace and beauty of the river Thames and the natural landscape a welcome antidote to it. I like to paint directly from life as much as possible, aiming to capture a sense of the moment and feeling of the place, as well as creating a recognisable representation. I always seek to find a point of beauty and balance within the composition and to create a lively picture surface full of light and colour. I am represented by galleries throughout the UK, and also undertake private commissions.
