Linda makes original textile wall pieces and a variety of textile and stitch based jewellery and gifts. Expect rich textures, subtle colour mixes and a new way of seeing familiar scenes.
Linda has long had a fascination for fabric and stitching. Since completing a four-year City and Guilds diploma in Embroidery and Design at the turn of the millennium, she has been exhibiting regularly both solo and in group shows. She also enjoys travel and loves re-living her travels through stitching. Fascinated by the colours, patterns and textures of what she sees, she uses photos as the basis for most of her pieces: not just views, but also little details – blank decaying walls, peeling paint, odd tiles, natural patterns in the sand, ripples on a pond.
As well as being a Teddington Artist, Linda is a founder member of the Fountain Gallery cooperative and also belongs to the textile art groups, Modus and Phoenix. In 2011, she was voted runner up Surrey Artist of the Year.
