RICK SMITH
Painter
Rick Smith graduated from Twickenham Art School in 1977.
His work is primarily figurative – landscapes, portraits and narrative paintings in oil, acrylic and gouache. Rick never tires of the challenge of rendering a subject in a ‘realistic’ manner whilst at the same time weaving in a story, mood and personality to the piece.
In 2022 Rick won the Diana Armfield Prize for drawing from observation.
Rick works primarily in his garden studio in Kingston on Thames, and his work can be viewed at ricksmithart.webnode.com
