I create original contemporary mosaics – each piece is completely unique; hand-cut using glass, porcelain, ceramic, mirror, stone and marble.

My work is predominantly abstract (although I do make representational work from time to time) and made with a limited colour palette, using shade, tone, hue, texture, cutting and laying to create depth and interest and to emphasize the unique qualities of each material.

I have been making mosaics for more than 20 years and I am continually inspired by the huge potential of the materials. Their colours, textures and the vagaries of hand-cutting mean that every single piece will be completely different – a marriage of the head, the heart, the hands and the materials.

Most of my work is for domestic interiors and gardens; both art pieces for the wall and 3D sculptural items as well as more practical decorative pieces such as large serving platters, tables and stepping stones. I also make a large collection of mosaic jewellery every year – again, every piece is unique.

I have pieces currently available in several shops and galleries throughout the UK and I work extensively to commission - with new works recently created for customers in the UK, Europe, Australia and North America.  I also teach 6 weekend workshops a year.
