PRINTMAKER
Stella Alexander is a trained designer and illustrator based in Teddington. She studied illustration at Swindon college of art and works full time as a 3D environmental designer in the events industry.
She has worked in a variety of media, including water colour illustrations used to create a range of textiles. However, her preferred medium has always been printmaking, especially Lino and relief printing, as it has unpredictable results and the process can lead the design in unexpected directions.
Inspired by a love of wildlife and nature, and taking inspiration from vintage natural history prints, she experiments with exploring the beautiful shapes and patterns that can be found in the natural world.
